Middle school field hockey

Grades 6–8 · Middle School

Our inaugural middle school team, and it plays real games. Seven games against Grosse Pointe, Sacred Heart and Cranbrook, plus two practices a week. Learn the game for the first time or sharpen what you already have.

Young field hockey players

Grades 3–5 · Learn to Play

Where it starts. A five-week Sunday clinic to try the sport. Stick skills, small-sided play, and fun first. No games against other teams, and absolutely no experience needed.

High school varsity field hockey

High School

Where it pays off. Everything built in the youth program leads to Birmingham United, the varsity and JV program at Seaholm and Groves. Field hockey became an MHSAA sport in 2025.

New this fall

The middle school team plays real games

This is the piece Birmingham has never had. Our 6–8 team practices twice a week and plays seven games against Grosse Pointe, Sacred Heart and Cranbrook, including two play days. Missing the occasional practice is not a problem, and beginners are genuinely welcome.

Registration covers coaching, uniforms, official fees and all team equipment including goalie gear.
